All images taken by AerialScotland are GPS tagged, this means that the exact co-ordinates that the camera sits at when taking an image is embedded in that image, so when you are browsing our submitted images you'll be able to see exactly where on your site the images were taken just by Right>Clicking on it and choosing "Properties".
Important information:
In high winds, it is neither practical or safe to fly the Helikite and camera rig, just as it would be impractical to fly a light aircraft. Note payment is not required if a photo shoot does not take place due to weather. If weather is not suitable for flight, the images will be taken on the next available break in the bad weather conditions, so it is therefore best to book a morning aerial photo shoot so that more time can be available during daylight hours later in the same day to take the images.
It is not practical to fly in very built up areas like towns or cities unless at the side, a full postal address will be required for an assignment to be considered, it is usually possible to work around tight areas, though safety is a priority.
30 Days notice is required as per CAA regulations for high altitude aerial photography assignments, this means you should put an assignment request in at the earliest oportunity. Though officially one month is required, it is usually possible to have permission from the Civil Aviation Authority in much less time, though this is not guaranteed in any way. An application to the Civil Aviation Authority for high altitude flight is free and permission is usually always given, but not guaranteed.
